One of 1201 25/30 Chassis build in Derby, England. The original owner was Prince Birabongse of Siam, the successful prewar racing driver who purchased it new in 1937. At the age of 23, he had been given money as a wedding present to furnish his new house, instead of which, on walking past the Jack Barclay showrooms in London, he saw this car, then painted blue, and purchased it on the spot. Prince Bira started racing in 1935 with notable success, driving Riley, MG, Aston Martin, Delage and ERA cars.
